The Noise Update is a major free update of Pizza Tower. Its main feature is The Noise being added as a playable character, offering a unique moveset and some minor changes in a few levels and bosses.
The update also contains a good amount of new content overall, such as extra save files for playing with The Noise specifically, new clothes that can be unlocked for him, new music (for example in John Gutter), etc.
The update released on March 11, 2024, and it was stated to be a “New Game+” on the official Pizza Tower twitter account.
The update would've been released if McPig and other people finished Ancient Aliens in DOOM. He played as PTG in the stream. There were some late comers such as Maurice, Homer Simpson and The Real Doise.
The Noise is able to "break" the game rules in unique ways, he has the ability to kill a lot of unkillable enemies and NPCs, for example such as the Horsey (after losing a race, which will grant you access to the locked Toppin after being killed), he is able to knock out Pepperman in the Floor 2 hub, he skips the final sequence of The Vigilante's boss fight by shooting at him without the player's input and is able to scare Fake Peppino away if he catches him in his chase sequence. He is also able to kill Grandpa Pepper in The Pig City.
Gustavo and Brick are replaced by another Noise, but during the escape, a Noisey will guide you towards the exit instead of Gustavo.
When interacting to a Noise Goblin, the Noise Goblin greets The Noise instead of attacking him. Taunting still triggers them to attack you though. This is most likely due to making the chef task possible.
When playing as The Noise, his boss fight is replaced with The Doise; once he is defeated, he remains dead and can't be fought properly again, unless you taunt three times in front of his boss door.
In the titlecards, the characters in the titlecards get replaced by community-made stickers of The Noise' (and sometimes The Doise') face. The stickers are also randomized, which means there are a near-infinite amount of titlecards.
When in the level Golf, The Noise will change the Primo Burg requirement with a pencil, so he always gets the Primo Burg.
Rocket Noise bounces off of walls instead of exploding on contact.
Interestingly, The Noise uses his old boss portrait silhouette (with his eyes and mouth visible) used in his Noise Crusher boss fight in older demos, instead of his full-game sprite. This also applies to Peppino, as he has visible eyes and teeth too.
In the third phase of the Pizzaface boss fight, The Noise transforms into Super Noise. This gives him a white suit with sparkles and a cape the same color as his normal clothes, and rapidly throws bombs as his attack, bombarding the enemy. At the end of the fight, instead of performing a beatdown, he loses the last bit of his sanity and pulls out a giant bomb while laughing maniacally, which he throws at a very horrified Pizzahead, nuking him and the top of the Pizza Tower.
When you get hit as the Noise, you will hear a faint instrument sound if you listen closely.
By clicking Peppino 100 times in the save menu, you can get the Noise Mode directly instead of completing the game, which is useful for those who want to try out the new update without completing the game.
The update was supposed to release on March 8th, which also happens to be International Women's day, then it got delayed.
The unknown image of Mr.Orange was removed in the Noise Update.
A few other things were changed in The Noise Update:
PTG's location in Fast Food Saloon was changed to be bellow the end of the second Horsey race instead of the end of it.
