Grandpa Pepper is a secret enemy in Pizza Tower.

Description

Grandpa Pepper is an old yellow pepper with arms and legs wearing a blue outfit and slippers that rocks around in a rocking chair. His eyes are often seen closed.

Behavior

Grandpa Pepper rocks in place on his rocking chair. Grandpa Pepper punches the player with a comically large fist and ignore invincibility frames upon getting close to him. He's located only in The Pig City's hidden area in the beginning of the level, in a path inside a hole in a wall. Getting hit by him for the first time grants the player Itchy Sweater outfit. Grandpa Pepper cannot be defeated normally; only The Noise is able to defeat him naturally, with Peppino only being able to defeat him while in the Knight or Ghost transformations.

Trivia

• Originally, Grandpa Pepper would have the behaviour of the Stupid Rat or Enemy Block.
• Before the game's release, Grandpa Pepper was supposed to be an enemy in the scrapped Mansion level, being unkillable from every attack bar thrown enemies.
  • Later, Grandpa Pepper was reused for Wasteyard in PT_Eggplantv15, where he would instead be killable only with the Ghost transformation.
• Grandpa Pepper is the only enemy in the game that can ignore Peppino's invincibility frames.
• Using a super taunt on Grandpa Pepper causes defeat particles to fly out of him, but doesn't actually defeat him.
• If the player uses the Debug Console to give Peppino the Knight or Ghost transformation, he can be actually killed, and his death sprite will be shown.
  • It is also possible to defeat Grandpa Pepper with the Ghost transformation by touching him after collecting 3 ghost peppers.
  • When touching him while riding a Weenie Mount or having the Spicy Pepper Pizza, his punching animation would play, but Peppino wouldn't be hurt. However, ditching the Weenie Mount would cause Peppino to get hurt.
