Gnome Forest is the tenth level in Pizza Tower, and the second level of the Vacation Resort.

In this level, the player finds themselves in a big dark forest where a village can be found where gnomes and goblins that look like Gustavo and The Noise respectively live, as well as a much brighter, big and open cliff-side forest with giant pizza trees in the background.

The level's titlecard shows Peppino, Brick and Gustavo in the midst of the trees, with Peppino and Gustavo being dressed in gnome outfits and Brick wearing a birthday hat and carrying a party blower in his mouth.

Gimmicks[]

Collectables[]

Each Toppin in the level is obtained after delivering a Gnome Pizza to a gnome, each being directly where the player naturally runs. The player must make it to these houses before the timer on the pizza depletes, If playing as the Noise, you will get the Toppin whether or not you delivered the pizza and/or stayed within the timer.

Gerome is located four rooms after the Tomato Toppin, near the ceiling. The player needs to get to the rightmost area near the top, bounce up the right wall, and break wooden blocks. The door to the is located in the room directly before Peppino switches to Gustavo. Returning with Gerome during Pizza Time, run or super jump up the long sequence of wooden blocks to find the door.

Pumpkin is located after the first Gnome House, near the exit to the room.

Secrets[]

In the second room that Gustavo and Brick exit to after their tutorial, the player must climb a wall where a visible secret eye is blocked only by a small wooden block.

In this secret, the player uses Gustavo's double jump to clear large distances and destroy metal blocks.

In the room directly after the player receives the Tomato Toppin, there is a semisolid platform above a seemingly inconspicuous wall with a dented floor. This wall is actually transparent and has a secret inside.

In this secret, the player gets propelled forward with great speed, needing to use Gustavo's double jump.

The final secret is actually at the start of the stage, directly in front of the exit door below the first semisolid platform, but is only accessible during Pizza Time. It is in a hidden wall, so it is not visible until the wall is entered.

In this secret, the player runs up vertical segments like in a secret from John Gutter, though bouncy mushrooms are placed to attempt to bounce the player off.

Chef Tasks[]

Bee Nice
Stand next to a bee and taunt in Gnome Forest.

Lumberjack
Destroy every wood block in Gnome Forest.

Bullseye

Trivia[]

  • Despite having final name in Beachandforestv1, it was temporarily called Forest in PT_Eggplantv15 build.
  • In the Gustavo & Brick tutorial, the combo meter is hidden. However, the combo can still be built in the tutorial, even if the combo timer is paused, and if the player gets hit enough for the combo meter to decrease to 0, the combo will end despite being paused. The timer will reappear and be reset upon exiting the tutorial.
  • The party blower Brick holds in the title card is not actually colored in. It is transparent, so that some of the verdant background and the trees are visible through it.
  • The level's titlecard is famously known due to the recent "Lario" meme, which features a slideshow of one singular image of the 3 characters from the title card under the text "Lario", accompanied by a mashup of the songs "Sneaky Snitch" by Kevin MacLeod and "Superstar" by Young Thug. This image was actually a joke from one of McPig's spriting streams.
    • This meme went so popular that "A Secret in The Trees", the level's secret theme, was renamed to "Everybody Wants To Be A Secret", in reference to a line from "Superstar". However, the song's name is still seen as "A Secret in The Trees" in the Sound Test room.
    • The meme has received official recognition. When Pizza Tower received Steam Badge and Trading Card support, some Steam profile backgrounds and emoticons were added alongside them. One of these emoticons was an image of the gnome Peppino, titled lario. Gnome Peppino even recieved an official plush from Fangamer in February 19th, 2025, alongside bunny Noisette and Pillar John.
  • This level is one of only three levels (excluding bosses) in the game to feature no transformations.
  • Upon entering this stage, the game's window will rename itself to "A forest in the Pizza Tower".
  • The titlecard had no goofy faces when McPig first made it.
  • The Rat Fairy was added in the Halloween update so you wouldn't lose your combo in the third secret. It also appears in the middle of the level, where a big collectible was moved for the exact same reason. Some clocks were also placed in front of the third secret, also to prevent the loss of the combo.
  • Peppino was used more in Gnome Forest before the decision to make Gustavo and Brick a more prominant player was chosen.
  • When playing as The Noise in this level, Noise Goblins will not attack him and instead wave to him. However, a taunt will still irk them to fire an arrow in order to get the Bullseye chef task. Completing the level as The Noise without killing any Noise Goblins will reward the player with the Forest Goblin outfit.
  • Additionally, Gustavo and Brick will not be present in this level nor The Pig City during The Noise's campaign, instead opting for the player to play as an identical second Noise.
  • Peppino's theme in Gnome Forest, mmm yes put the tree on my pizza, has a similar instrumental to Jamba by Tyler The Creator.
